A few hundred Lopezians gathered around the Village Park to ring in the holiday season on Friday evening. Thanks to the Lopez Chamber and many volunteers, the community was able to enjoy cookies and hot cocoa while visiting in Carpenter Plaza in front of Paper Scissors on the Rock. Before we flipped the switch on the lights, the Light Parade came through the Village, complete with a band and fire jugglers. It was quite a show. Once we ironed out a few blown circuits, the lights went on at 5:15, followed by caroling in Village Park. What a great community. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this fun evening possible.
Thanks, also, to Paper Scissors on the Rock, for allowing everybody to hang out in front of their store all evening.
Thanks for the fun video! The Village Lighting event is always great fun!
